Sights and Sounds Poetry Workshop

Service Description

This workshop is geared to writing Ekphrastic Poetry using pictures and/or music.(Ekphrastic Poetry is a poem written from inspiration from another art form) . Seniors will create an Ekphrasic poem with the Tanka poetry form. (Tanka poetry means a short story or song). Familial pictures and music will be used, so if there are visual and hearing disabilities, one can use their “mind’s eyes.” Seniors will learn how to create an Ekphrasic poem in either individual or communal settings. ​
